Growing A Stronger Future for Kansas Agriculture

The Sorghum State Foundation connects public and private resources with farmer-led initiatives to advance sorghum, strengthen agricultural markets and conserve natural resources.

A new pathway for Kansas Sorghum’s future

In September 2026, Kansas Sorghum announced the launch of the Sorghum State Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to support the mission of the Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission (KGSC).

By expanding access to public and private funding opportunities, the foundation creates new pathways to invest in the future of sorghum. These resources will support initiatives that advance sorghum in agricultural markets and natural resource conservation, delivering benefits that extend beyond the farm.

Built within Kansas Sorghum’s network of organizations, the foundation brings together farmer leadership, industry investment and public resources to create opportunities for lasting impact.

Be part of what’s next

The future of sorghum is bigger than the field. The Sorghum State Foundation creates opportunities for businesses, industry partners and individuals to invest in initiatives that strengthen Kansas agriculture and deliver lasting public benefits.
