Kansas Sorghum Update: Recapping Top MY2020-21 U.S. Sorghum Export Locations and Pushing Forward with New Year Events in 2022

Marketing Year 2020-21 was a meaningful one for grain sorghum that welcomed great international demand for U.S. growers’ premium quality crops, and you can see the economics at work from that demand in the Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission’s 2021 Annual Report. The Annual Report is a snapshot of the Kansas sorghum industry containing information on production, markets, and average farm price for sorghum at $5.85 per bushel last year, up high from $4.26 in 2020 and well above $3.19 in 2019.

With its focus always on farmers, the Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission will meet again for its Winter 2022 board meeting on Thursday, January 27, in Salina, KS.
