On Thursday, December 19th, 2019, in the last vote of the year, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed by a tally of 385 to 41 implementing legislation for the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), H.R.5430. This vote advances the trade deal one step closer to the finish line, while the U.S. Senate is expected to take up the legislation early in the new year.

KGSPA supports passage through Congress as USMCA represents a modernized free trade agreement that will continue Kansas sorghum producers’ ability to conduct business in key North American markets, especially with our Mexican partners.
