UPDATED NOTICE: Sorghum Connection Field Days Adjusted for Aug. 26–27; Dighton Field Day Remains Aug. 28
MANHATTAN, Kan. (Aug. 14, 2026) – K-State Extension, K-State Department of Plant Pathology, and the Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission (KGSC) have recently announced adjustments for the Sorghum Connection program’s Aug. 26 field day near Bavaria and the Aug. 27 field day near Dorrance. The Friday, Aug. 28 field day near Dighton remains as originally scheduled.
Sorghum Connection programming will instead reach growers over two alternative events happening the same day at K-State Western Kansas Research-Extension Centers’ field days for Aug. 26 in Hays and Aug. 27 in Tribune. Details for both events, along with the full 2026 lineup, are available at wkrec.org/events/field_days.
The Sorghum Connection field day originally scheduled for Dighton on Aug. 28 will proceed as planned at 2:00 p.m., 2 miles east and 3 miles south of Dighton at the intersection of Road 120 and Mustang Road. There is no cost to attend, but attendees are asked to register online.
